You guys are all so inspiring, I can't wait to get home and get my sewing room cleaned so I can actually sew in there!
they don't have the software in the stores you have to buy it from joann's online.

I've been able to edit and print the blocks, but have not been able to figure out how to place them on the blank Dear Jane design quilt so I can keep track of what blocks are done and where color placement is. I think I'm going to have to go over the lessons again. Ugh.
If you use the wizard, it gives you the option to start with the classic DJ, and what I've done is switch every colour to white, then as I make a block I'm "colouring it in". That way I can keep a track of how it's looking. :-)
Are you able to put it then where it belongs on the quilt to see the whole big picture?
yes, you would go to work on the quilt, scroll to the block you wish to place into the quilt, and use the "set tool".

its on the upper right of the screen next to the yellow ruler.

you just click on it, click on the block you want, and click where in the quilt you want it to go.
Thanks Klue - I'll check it out!

    Thanks Blue -
Last night I did what you recommeded. Pulled up the quilt, spray painted all the blocks white, and then painted the four I've completed. A couple of times! I was saving it but it wasn't saving. So I did it again, saved it and at 3:00AM went to bed. I have to check to see if it was saved. I almost hate to look but will.
You guys are the best! Hugs, Sheree

I'm also making a couple baby Janes. Glad to see an active interest here.

    :-)

I must admit, I'm having trouble saving too. I've been really lazy with EQ6 and just close the session and it prompts me to save, but the DJ software doesn't.

I transfered my DJ files to the laptop yesterday, and have set it up in my sewing room where it will stay for the next how ever many months this is running. It was a pain running back into the lounge every time I need to print something or check on something. That way I can just leave the DJ software running.

    I have a silly question....

I have two quilts in the sketchbook, and I've been playing around with the colours. How do I save the newest colourway overtop of the one already in the sketchbook? I don't want to add it to the sketchbook and end up with a zillion different quilt tops in there, I just want the two I have.

click on the save in sketchbook icon in the upper left. that will save your latest copy. then click on look in sketchbook (this is to the left of save in sketchbook) click the arrows till you get to the quilt that you don't want. then click delete. hope this makes sense and helps. you can delete any quilt in the sketchbook that you don't want. i have done this several times
