    I think that is sad! It seems to me that many of these "professional" quilt gals have gone over the top with their copyrights. I have no problem with someone wanting to protect their work, but really. :roll:

    i agree with you 100% but people do the strangest things when money is involved.

    I think the problem I have with it is that it's Jane's quilt, no one else's. And I guess that's why the blocks are not copyright. It just seems that it should be available to all quilters.

    if jane hadn't dated that quilt who knows what could have happened - lucky for all of us she did and it falls into the public domain category.

    I look at this group, and the way that Jane's quilt has bought all these people together from all over the world, and think you just can't put a price on that.
