    Here's what I do:

I pin vertically to match the points.
I hold on as tight as I can, remove the pin and place into the sewing machine.
Insert the machine needle a bit to the right and a bit before where there are matching points.
Increase your stitch length (just in case you have to rip out)
Sew to a bit after the matching point.
Open and see if the points are matching.
Move on the the next point.
If all points are matching, decrease the stitch length and sew the whole seam.
Does this make sense? It seems to work for me - although my triangles are definitely not perfect, but good enough for me!

    What's wrong with this picture?
This is what happens when you try and work on your blocks while watching the olympics!

The blocks didn't match up in my final seam but it didn't matter because I printed this out 5x8 in error! I thought as I was going along it looked kinda big, but was so engrossed in what USA was doing last night that............. oh well - it's a new day!

Don't take it to heart, I have printed out several triangles at 4.5 x 4.5, though I didn't make them up.

As I get older, I find I don't multi-task at all! I make more mistakes, and then rip them out, and do it all over again! I get tired earlier as well!
