Lovely quilt, would love to have one, it looks intense, not sure I have the time to commit for one at that level. I would lurk and droll and watch everyone else though! :D

Ha!! I knew what your fingers meant to type Meredith. We don't HAVE to do that one...its just one to throw in the mix. It might be still way over my level at this point too. I love it though and might order the stuff just to see what its all about.

We have plenty of time to look around for the perfect project for our group

I had a feeling that the blue and white one is Jane blocks turned into diamonds, or am I wrong on that?

Lesley, I think some of them are. I haven't had the time to really study the pattern. On the link I provided there are actually 2 versions. The 1st one she (Linda) did is I believe Jane blocks just as you described. For some reason, I 'm thinking the 2nd one isn't. I read that she recommends that you make the 2nd one 1st. Something about easier and the directions are more clear. I'm not sure. Its pretty though I think.

Ah, that's probably where I got mixed up then.

I was wondering...since I'm using the Chocolate fab...should I use black batting or do ya'll think the natural will be ok? I'm planning to use the W& N.

Patti, I would use natural, as the black could show through on your lighter fabrics.

I agree - natural. The black batting is sooooo black. I know it would show through. I also find that W&N (which I love) does sometimes come through when I'm really on a roll with FMQ. I got a sample card of the Legacy Collection by Pellon. I'm anxious to try it when I need to buy batting for machine quilting again.

Jane's Journey will be hand quilted. I got Thermore for that. It is similar to W&N, but quite a bit thinner. Also the price is better than W&N & comes in 96" width instead of 90".

Good luck with your selection. Are you nearly finished? I have been delayed in getting the triangles together - rats!
