Congrats Patti on being so close to the finish line! I am also wondering how I will feel when Jane isn't the main focus of my quilting life.

Good thoughts for you and DH Kathy on his job and possible move. Can't wait to see your finished Jane!

Well I don't know if it will hit all of you the way it hit me, but I had really mixed emotions for a while. Of course there was the feeling of pleasure - seeing the finished article, and also not having to make more blocks the next week or whenever, but I also felt lost - almost bereft, and at a loose end. It took me a while to pick up again and start other things.

Good luck for DH Kathy, hope he gets the job.

That's what I'm afraid of Lace. I have so many WIP and at this point not one of them interest me much. Hope that changes!

I think I am going to feel the same about Jane when it gets near the end Lesley. I had the same feeling when I finished my Japanese Fan quilt. Its a funny feeling like one of your kids has left home

I'm glad I'm not alone in my feelings.

We waited for "the call" all day until about 3:30. Went out and drove around Waco - cool city. Found a brand new housing development where they are still selling the building sites - prices are right in our range & we fell in love with 1 floor plan. When we got back to the hotel, there was a message for us - "the call" that told DH to call back in the morning - figures he'd call when we left! Now we have to wait until the morning.

I got the cancer quilt top finished, but decided that I needed to add one small border that will finish the stars in the sashings. Looks kind of dumb with partial stars hanging onto the outer edges. Will do that when I get back to the prison on Thursday or Friday - we might need to stay one more day - hope, hope, hope!

Thats just so typical that you get the call when you are out. Keeping fingers and eyes crossed for you.

I hate waiting, but if it is for good news, I will be patient and wait with you, Kathy!
