Well Patti, you obviously didn´t hear my tale of woa on Lesley´s thread, I beat you for doing just the stupidest thing.
Wait for it. I had three rows all sewn together and the next row ready to go. I must have picked it up ready to sew it, got interupted and sewed it on to the Row A block insteadof the Row C block. I then proceeded to sew all the other 2 rows on to the top of that. SOOOO I sat last night ripped it all back and at 1.30am this morning got back to where I should be. double drat. However I am now happy with it.

Love, Love your Jane Patti, it looks super and I love he trapunto, if you could a little tute would be good, I know its the "Geta" method, but I would love to see how to do it again.

Meredith, gorgeous and I love the way you have done the scallops look great, I think weare all so anxious to get it finished now. I like the red but I like the different scallops better with a red binding.

Thanks all....I'll be happy to do a tute for you on trapunto. Elle, this is just regular Trapunto...Geta's involves the organza..I won't be adding that to this quilt. Anyway...can I do it after I get some more progress done on Jane??? Please???

I saw what you did on your quilt Elle...at least you caught it when you could still undo it. I can't, well..not without waaaayyyyy too much trouble as I had already done the trapunto and sewn all the batting down..so what it is, is what it is. Maybe I'll have to change its name to "Chocoloate...my way"

Everyone is making such great progress...its so exciting!

Patti, your quilt is going to be a stunner - and no one is going to notice that border of reversed tris other than perhaps another quilter who has made it, then I bet she would understand anyway.

Wil, I think I go along with the concensus that darker, matched scallops will look best in your case - if you have enough fabric, I think matching them would be better than mixing them. You can always use that seam as part of your quilting in those between tris, which will help disguise it.

You are all doing so well, I'm so pleased you all persevered.

Thanks for the reassurance Lesley. I think if that "other quilter who made a Jane" mentions my tris being backwards....I'll....well...I'll just pop her one! OK, ok...no violence. I'll just give her the "evil eye".

Decision made! I will sew on matching fabric to the tweener tris, I did a few last night and after they are pressed I am satisfied! Most of my fabrics are small print so that helps disguise the seam. I have a pack of triangles in my fabric line, so I have all the fabrics!

I don't know why I go blank and can't see the "forest for the trees" with color choices on this quilt! I think it has become a bit emotional since it has such an large investment of time and effort.

Thank you ladies for all your input!

No problem Wil, it is a huge undertaking, and you are nearly there now - when I finished mine, I walked round for a week feeling almost shell shocked, and I didn't actually do any sewing for two or three weeks. Having said that, I was walking on air too - it is SUCH a sense of achievement that I want you all to get that.

    Patti - evil eye? You? :D :D :D

Meredith...I get it, really I do. I think that by the time you get it quilted, those seams will virtually disappear. I'm really happy you made that choice..I think you'll like it the best.

I got the long strips sewn on for the scallops today and I'm in the process of putting the batting behind it. I realized that I hadn't washed my backing fabric, so had to do that and iron it..I'm almost through piecing it together. Maybe I'll get started with the quilting tomorrow....tomorrow...isn't that what Scarlet said???

You had extenuating circumstances, Rachel, and there are others who are at your stage too - so you will still have company.
