Oh Patti, that is just to die for I love it and IMHO I would continue with the pebbles otherwise there might be too much going on.

I'm with Meredith and Elle, Patti, pebbling, because the scallops will just look like an extension of the between tris and that will give it a more co-ordinated look.

Ok...I agree on the pebbling..you know sometimes you just need some 2nd..3rd..4th..opinions from people who actually know what you are talking about. DH has excellent taste but has a hard time visualizing sometimes. He also doesn't think about options that I don't explain to him. But thanks for all ya'll's 2 cents!

OMG Patti -this is the first pic I have seen of Chocolate Jane and my jaw is on the floor!!! It is STUNNING - I must see it in person one of these days. Maybe that old ladies quilters home Lacelady dreamed up - we will have our baby janes to keep our old bones warm!!

Great idea, Rachel - though perhaps it wouldn't be quite fair to make it a condition of entry into the home. Have you seen my PDA recently? The last few pages have featured lots of potential staff for the Home. We've had fun choosing them.

    Sandpat,

I'm just getting back to my Jane triangles and thought I'd check in.

Looking great Patti!! I agree with the others about the pebbling.

I'm on the tail end of 'I' now. My poor fingers are getting calluses and going numb in places!! But it will be worth it! LOL!!!

    Go JAN!!!!

Thanks Rach and Sharon. I did finish up the 4th side today and then got 2 sides of the scallops done...so I'm inching my way there....I should be able to finish the quilting in a couple more hours. I'm excited but also scared!!

Now...does anyone have any idea how much binding it takes to do this baby? I want to use the continuous cut bias and need to figure out what size square to cut for it. Also...should I cut the scallops before sewing the binding on....or sew the binding on the marked line, then cut....
I was thinking of using the brown for binding, but might change my mind and use one of the beiges...that is IF I can figure out how much I will need and IF I have enough. Anybody good with math???? Where is Gai when you need her???

I remember someone saying that you should sew the binding on before you cut the scallops - I think it was Eleanor Burns on one of her shows. I have only done a couple of scaoolped edges & I left the fabric alone until I sewed it on. Worked just fine! I think ou would need to stitch around the edge before cutting to keep the layers together. I'd just as soon only stitch arounf the thing once! :-)
