When that happens, its best to walk away so as not to get frustrated...(well...too much). Tomorrow is another day!

Well, just did something I wish I didn't...... checked out the blocks ahead of time for week 13 in the virtual section.

Hmmmmm, don't know if I'm quite ready for some of those!

Thank goodness for that section and I'm starting a year later, heaps of advice and help checking them out though.

WOW!! Can't believe it, just checked out my spreadsheet for counting the blocks/pieces - my tally so far:

    Blocks - 40, Tris - 10, Pieces - 1103

Time flies when you're having fun - most of the time, as long as there aren't too many more 'monster' blocks LOL

I agree...I was astounded about the number of pieces..I think I did 1 block (near the end) that ended up having 71 pieces! It might have been a kite vs. a block...but I know some of the later blocks have over 60...thats ALOTTA teeny parts!

so, i need to learn how to set the points on triangles good. i watched a tut. but, guess i need to find it again. did most of you ladies use freezer paper? just pinning the pattern doesn't work too well. was working between the 2. did tri--tumbling blocks,(RS6?) and it is done. not perfect, but. have to re read, and find freezer paper.

I only made 2 triangles and they both were pp. Haven't used freezer paper yet on the blocks.

I paperpieced most of the blocks, much easier in my opinion and the ones that needed applique I did some with needleturn and some with blanket stitch.

I'm still struggling with M3 but I'm getting there. Partly by hand, no seam looks in the right place but I guess when the quilt is finished you hardly notice ;)
I like paperpiecing too, use it as much as I can.
