Hi Patti, the ones between the blocks. I found it on one of the pages but had to read quite a few before finding it. 1" right? Is that what you did Patti? 1" x 5"?

Also, I'm just devastated, I did the top row of tris, got it all together including sewing up the w and n on the back and found out I had it backwards. Theres no way I can undo all that so I will have to rename my Jane. How about 'Backwards Jane'? I'm not saying anything to people here but I had to tell you guys. I'm just bunged.

No worries Jan....I did the exact SAME THING with my tris...only I did it to the top and left side. No one will know. I only told you guys and see...you've already forgotten! Thats how unimportant it is!

Now...on to the sashing..hang on...I'm going to measure.

    Between the blocks- 1/2" finished,so cut 1" x 5 1/2"

The outer skinny sashing between the center and the tri border is 1/4" finished. Cut 3/4" wide.

Now...don't worry about your row of tris. When you get totally finished, you won't even know which side it is.

I did forget that and thanks for making me feel better about my booboo. Seemed like alot of work just to screw it up with something like that. I hesitate laying them all out on the floor because of my little dogs. They like checking them out! LOL!!! Thanks for the numbers also Patti! Now I can go forward.

Oh, I'm not putting small squares on mine so would you cut the side to side sashing in one piece?

Hi everyone, glad to see everyone pushing along. I have been quite ill with a very bad virus the last 10 days so haven't had much time to get on with my sewing. I had been trying to get about 1 week ahead luckily enough so I have posted weeks 12 and 13, although not M3 as haven't even attempted that one yet. Luckily the week off was this week so I am not behind with the schedule ..... I'm getting a little bit paranoid about this schedule .... probably shouldn't worry too much about it but start stressing if I haven't completed my blocks before the end of the week. Hmmm maybe do need a bit of a break after all. My poor dog had 5 tumors removed the other day as well, including 1 from both eyelids. He is doing well though, we have been slopping around together recovering. Well enough of my viral ramblings and keep up the good work everyone, and don't forget to post those pics!!

I guess it depends on how you want it to look..of course if you quilt vertically across it, it will appear that you did it in pieces anyway. I'm assuming that you will QID the sashing pieces. Now that I'm thinking about....I think that is how I would do it if not using cornerstones. Good idea!! :D:

Thanks Patti! I will be QID on my sashings so it sounds like a plan.

Just a couple of photos to show you I really am getting closer to the finish ! LOL!!! It does'nt seem like I'll make the May deadline though. I have three rows sewn together and one tri row so far. Like Elle and Lace would say, there's alot of 'fiddly' stuff to do!

This is everything on my coffee table all in piles. You can tell how long it's been there because my C-mas DJ is still on the table!

All layed out and not enough room to do it properly.

The tri row and three rows below it are all together.

jan, that is stunning. did you start your quilting after you finished all the blocks. looks like you are layering and quilting the blocks individually. correct? hand quilted? what a treasure.
