People have always told me I am a type A and yet I really enjoy hand quilting when "ole arthur" lets my thumbs cooperate. I think that is why I am enjoying hand applique so much. I can listen to my music while I am working. When I work with my sewing machine I can't hear much of anything. I am already looking forward to cooler weather when I can sit ouside, listen to the birds singing, and work on my quilts. Hope On - Hope Ever! :D :D :D

Fab, well, good ....another type A. i nevvvver admit to being one. don't know what i was thinking. :) but, yes, i am enjoying quilting my jane by hand. do a little every day, but do other stuff also. that is just lazy, slow time work for me now. when she gets done, she gets done. worked on house blocks today from the BOM site. how far along are you on your jane? i'll have to look back and see.

SewNso, I am still in the planning stages. I have my background fabric, book, electric quilt, and most of the scrap fabric I will need for the blocks. I have been trying to finish up some UFOs before I start another quilt. I am working on AOTH right now. I MUST sew the binding on my DGS quilt this week. I am driving down to Davie next Sat. and I want to take the quilt with me and give it to him. :D :D

Fab, yes, that's what i do. finish UFO's as much as possible. the BOM house blocks grabbed me. and i was enjoying them sooo much, i couldn't wait for the next one to come out., sooooo i thought, i would do a few jane blocks in between. then she (jane) grabbed me. I bought the AOTH book and was going to start one, and learn with all the nice ladies from the jane link, but ended up resisting. my husband is getting the motor home ready to go to VT in sept. i do believe we are going to see the orginal dear jane quilt on display at the bennington museum. among other things.
if you did AOTH you will have NO problem with the Jane quilt. Good luck.
I believe my next project is going to be a nice pinapple quilt.

Oh how wonderful to be going to Vermont. I would love to go some place cool. I saw the original DJ quilt in 2003 and I bought the book. I never had the nerve to try it on my own. I love this board and all of the lovely ladies who help me when I have a question. We have a motor home and we usually stay home during the summer but we have a trip planned to a state park near the Gulf of Mexico in Sept. We love the beach. Have a fun and safe trip. :-) :-)
