they are both beautiful! I wouldn't know how to pic the squares I want to make. Having the same issues with AOTH - not sure I want to make all the squares, but then again, how do you decide??

I also like the dear Hannah - seems to be more applique in them. Has anyone ever mixed the two? [DJ & DH]

I will begin a new DJ soon.

    thank you

i have not tried the Dear Hannah.

as for picking the blocks for the swap i think Klue picked a variety that were begginer, intermediant and advanced then let everyone pick the ones they wanted to do.

there was a quilt made a few years back by someone in New Zealand that won some awards - a combo of DJ, Hannah, and some of her own making. A thread was started about this quilt here

I have a friend in South Africa who made 2 DJs and they won awards at several shows in S Africa, the US and the Houston show. She made one in blue and one in brown using S african fabrics.

When we first "met" as part of a row exchange, she modestly hoped she was as talented as the rest of us. She blew us away with her skills.

luv, your Christmas jane is just gorgeous! I made a table runner out of mine...only did 2 sets. We did 18 blocks per set. I also still have the blue/white "winter" Jane blocks from that swap too. I still haven't decided what to do with them.

I love that Dear Me quilt...the border is just wild!

Cre8 - I was pondering the same thing - to do or not to do all of the squares. How do I choose? Let me count the ways - eeny, meeny, miney, mo. Oh, heck - just do 'em all! :-)

I only have 1 DJ in me, just like I only have 1 AOTH. I very rarely do a pattern more than once. Made the exception a couple of times with some of the more elaborate Mariner's Compasses I do. The most recernt one was a duplicate center, but in Christmas colors of the q
