I decided to do a Bird of Paradise instead of applique a tulip ( I do not like to do applique, sorry). I think it kind of looks like tulips , hmmmm

Floralfab, I love the colors and the daisy fabric, it's a very happy block.

BettyB, I think your block is gorgeous-it looks like a bouquet of tulips.

Now I've got to get busy and finish mine.

Floralfab...........What a beautiful April Tulip block you have created for the 2012 BOM!! The color's you chose are so very bright & springy. I love it & think it will go so nicely with your other blocks for this year. Take a break now while waiting for the May block!!

BettyB.........I have always loved the pattern that you chose to make, in place of the Tulip block. It turned out so pretty & I just love the pink fabric's. I agree with you, they do look like tulips to me, too. I just know that you will like the new pattern for May!! Thank you for sharing with all of us.

Floralfab, I love your tulip, such lovely fabrics!

Betty, the Bird of Paradise block is beautiful! I've never seen this block before but I love it. To me it does look like tulips too!

Wonderful Blocks ..... I like the Bird of Paradise block... BettyB by chance is their a 16 in version of that block pattern? I wouldnt mind purchasing it to go in a quilt Im working on for my grandaughter. There are three applique blocks in the pattern with lots of vines and leaves and tiny flowers. I have one done but the others are simply giving me grief. Im just not doing well with the smaller applique pieces so Im looking to switch out those blocks with other pieced flower blocks which have no applique. In the first picture in the very bottom right you can see my block of the months all together waiting for May ...lol
