Jenniky, I don't see anything wrong with your applique, it's beautiful!

These are the two blocks Im having trouble with....sorry I just posted what I had completed didnt have any pics yet of the others. Here they are. The butterfly with the vines is the worst... and the other one has some small berries that go between leaf sets to form a wreath. These two blocks are what are giving me grief. Im also concerned that my fabric choices are off... I dont know maybe I have been looking at it too much..and being to critical. Each block will be framed in white. These three are the only blocks that have the white background also. I have yet to chose a color for the final border and binding. :/ All the other backgrounds of the blocks are pink... or green. I plan on spending the money to send this quilt to a long arm quilter. Im hoping it will be a blanket my granddaugther will hang onto for a long time. So Im concerned about the applique holding up to all the use.

I think with the satin stichting it will hold up. I've made several totes, all with applique and satin stitching and I use them often. None of the applique is falling apart yet.

I like the colors and fabrics you used. Only the berries are a bit 'pale' IMHO.

I agree with you on the berries.. Im thinking of changing them to a dark pink or a raspberry color. Thanks for your input I can always use a second and third and fourth eye..lol

    Jenniky...beautiful...and oh, so cute!

I finally got my April block done...I used sky with rain on it, yellow on corners represents the sun...that's what flowers need, right?
