Default Sorry About Pics

OK - sorry about the size of the pics in my last post. I have never had a problem posting pics before. I will try one more time...

I would like some opinions before I proceed. I will do the applique by machine (thumb problems - can't do hand work) and can't decide if I want to do satin stitch or blanket stitch. I am also torn between doing all the applique in one color thread (what color?????) or in varigated thread. The pic shows my block and the thread I am thinking about for the flower and one for the leaves. Help! All suggestions welcome - criticisms, not so much....
Thanks!

Linda........Your Tulip block for April has turned out so pretty. I just love the color combination that you have put together. When I make mine on the machine, I prefer the blanket stitch, but you can do what feels the best to you. I would also use both of the varigated threads that you have pictureed. I use the green one a lot & it looks so nice when done. Good Luck & thank you for sharing. I hope you will share again when you are done!!

I don't have any experience with machine stitches but I like the idea of the blanket stitch-the block is called the primitive tulip so I think that'd look nice. I would use both threads how you have them laid out. Very pretty colors.

Thanks, SulaBug and Andii - I think I will use the thread pictured and do a blanket stitch. I will post another pic when done. Maybe. Depends on how it turns out....

Very pretty block! I love the yellow and how you cut the floral fabric for the top of the flower!

Very pretty block JeanieG, really Springy. Jeanine, that was a strip of fabric I've held onto 'for something'...when I decided to do that block, of course PINK is my color, and hummingbirds, and I thot, ah ha, so that's how that came about. Thanks for the comments....glad everyone likes the block..
