no just that one block that is a rectangle and the square goes over it and is sewn and pressed back (per instructions I was lucky enough to receive from Chele).. never done that before then trimmed the excess from behind.. new concept to me.

    Elisabrat,
I am sorry you had such a hard time putting together this block!! But, I do think you did a marvelous job making it. I just love the colors & the fabric's you chose to make your block with!! I do hope you will stay with this project, as each month the blocks will be different.
    Happy Sewing,
    Cheryl

The block looks great - love the leaf pattern fabric. I am still trying to cut mine out, it is very hot and humid and rainy and the fabric just goes limp even after starching - so my block is going to take a bit. If mine looks half as good as Elisabrat's does I will be happy.:)

Sulabug, it's beautiful! I have some sunflower fabric and coordianting pieces that I was going to use in a turning Twenty pattern for my DD, but this block is stunning! I can hardly wait to get at it!

So here is my block, looking at it I should have found something a little lighter for the center or the outside a little darker, oh well, she is done now,

I like the way the background makes it look like it is floating, looks great!

This block and I are not friends! I have ripped it apart so many times it's a wonder it's not falling apart! The instructions were OK. All the ripping was just me. I put a section in wrong. My points didn't match, etc. It is still not perfect, but it is what it is. If all my other BOM's are tremendous, I can redo this one later.
