I thought I was the winner for seam ripping.. started with a pattern my daughter printed that was NOT 100% and did I measure it first? some blocks I cut without using the template (it said 2 1/2" I cut 2 1/2") some I used the templates NOT measuring them first (idjit) and then I didnt get it. I was ready for the trash bin half way through. Now I am ready to make it again with my real fabrics and pray its easier today than yesterday. I have so much trouble NOT losing the points at the edge of the block when I sew them together I usually avoid pointed edges all together.

I did do the tute on it last night so it is over in the tute section with hopefully clear directions. Being on my iopd it is hard to put in links. But you can't miss it. I hope it helps!

Lisa, your block is wonderful!! I love the colors you put together. Your quilt is going to turn out lovely!! Thank you for sharing!!

Ok I took the plunge and did it again, more scrap fabric but this time.. it was so much simplier. And the square finished 12 1/2" perfectly on all sides (TADA!) .. I guess yesterday I was not plugged in at all. I didn't even use the tutorial just the bluemountain directions first posted. I guess knowing where things were going to go helped a bit. So thank you for everyone being patient with my impatience. Its not a hard square. Its just one you have to do a bit of thinking on especially when placing your pieces to seam together (lots less ripping them out if you lay it all out as you would view it finished).

if you are trying to use the "quick reply" feature, i don't think you can upload files.

if you use a "reply" or "quote reply" you should see the fields under the text box for uploading.

p.s. - ALL the blocks so far look goooooooood to me. :-)
mine came out 12" square instead of 12-1/2". i must have forgotten to reset my needle position and made the seams too wide. good thing i hadn't planned to use it in a regular quilt.
