Oh wow! What beautiful blocks ya'll have made. Here I am reading the forums and ya'll are actually sewing. It took me forever because I was reading the original forum where we talked about house and star blocks etc before finally finding this one where the actual instructions are posted. Ok, I'm going to go find my fabric and start...

Here is my version of the Church. Instead of adding to both sides, I just added on the left and applique a tree next to the Church. That is how I remember the church we went in my childhood. There was a skinny Olive tree by the door of the Church.
My door is all scuptured as you can see and windows are stainglass. Had fun doing it.

Leakus, that is an absolutely, fantastically gorgeous block. I love your tree and your stained glass windows. Why wasn't I smart enough to think of something like that? I love the creativity everyone brings to these BOM's.

Thanks JudyG, your block is lovely as well. I like your window option. You can borrow the tree idea for some other house. I bet we will have plenty of opportunities!

    Is your block 12 1/2?

Yes, I guess it's just the picture that makes it look huge.

Thank you, the block looks so pretty, I am anxious to try it.

Don't know if anyone answered this...

They should print out so the 1" test square on the page actually measures 1". If it doesn't then you need to adjust your printer to 'print actual size'.

If you get the 1" square to measure 1" = you're good to go!

Here is mine. Had to embellish a little and see a spot where a seam needs tightening.
