Well, whether you paperpieced it or not, it's a very pretty star. Congratulations on getting it done. That's my goal for this week, to get it done.

Sulabug, This question may have already been asked, but should I be doing the blocks in different colors. The first block blue and white for snow, Feb. red or pink, March green, etc. I have noticed that others are picking colors to use for the entire quilt, but if they are going to coordinate with the calendar I would like to use different colors to match that particular month. If this gives away to much of the mystery then I will just guess and hope I make the right choice. I don't mind the scrappy look and I could use stash.

Hi Toomanyjufo's: I am using the scrappy look myself. Will try to sort of use colors for that month, depending on what I have in my scrap. One of the wonderful things about this BOM is what you use it up to you. To have fun doing it.

Toomanyufo - my seasons are the opposite of yours and some of my holiday celebrations aren't the same as yours anyway so I am using co-ordinadated fabrics for a baby quilt and just using the actual pattern when the month doesn't "match" what's happening at my end of the world.

Everyone can do their own thing and go scrappy or keep a common fabric through the whole quilt.

I just enjoy being a part of this BOM and seeing everyone's interpretation of each block.

I plan to go scrappy on this one as well. I'll use whatever fabric colors appeal to me for that particular month.

It looks like you have already received some very good answer's to your question. One of the greatest things about this BOM project, is that you can pick any farbic or color combination that you would like to. I picked blue for my block becasue it looks like winter to me. I will be picking different fabric's for the next block to go with the pattern or the month. I guess you would say that my blocks will be scrappy looking too. I thank everyone for helping out & wish all of you good luck making your 2012 block's. I hope we are all haivng FUN!!
