Don't you just love snow days - it allowed me to sew my snowblossom!

Oh Jeanine.............Both of your blocks are beautiful!! I love the light blue one as a Snow Blossom snow flake & I also like the darker one as a flower. Don't get rid of the darker one, as I see lots of possibilites for it!! I love your idea of cutting out the center snowflake & appliquing it, like you did. Good thinking with that idea. Thank you for sharing with all of us on the quilting board today.

    Default My January Snowblossom

My first paper pieced block took hours. I made every mistake possible, sometimes twice. I will attempt to post my first picture now.

Jeanine I love both your blocks - very inventive with the applique.

Beaqltr - great job on your first pp block - love the snowflake fabric. I still make some of the same mistakes twice.

Bea.........your Snow Blossom block turned out darling!! I love the color's & your fabric's. Especially the blue with the white snowflakes. Even though you had a hard time with it, I am so proud of you for finishing it & doing such a nice job. Trust me, from now on pp'ing will come easier & easier for you. I am also a fan of the gray fairy dust fabric you used to accent it with. I always try to keep a few color's of fairy dust in my stash. It's so pretty!! Thank you for sharing with all of us.

Bea your block is beautiful. You should have seen my first pp attempt! I wish it would have looked half as good as yours!

    Jeanine, I love both blocks!

Bea, I love the textures in your block and the colors. I have paper pieced a bit but for some reason the angles on this one have kicked my booty! So take heart yours looks fabulous.
