Nicky - just love your pp clover. Would you care to share the pattern link or did you design this beauty yourself?

    Default My March Block

Here is my March block. I'm not satisfied with the background, so may make another. I ran out of fabric for the background (lacked 2 inches for the final block), so I decided to have my shamrock growing in a field of flowers. Couldn't quite pull that one off, so will probably redo. It was an easy, fun block to make, though!

Hi Deecee, thanks for your kind words. The shamrock is from the book 365 Foundation Quilt Blocks, by Linda Causee, and the twisted square is from Carol Doak's book (and Foundation Factory) 300 Paper Pieced Quilt Blocks.

I did find a cute pp shamrock online at http://sewhooked.com/2011/03/17/st-patrick-shamrock/.

I am enjoying seeing everyone's blocks!

If you have more of the field of flowers material maybe you can use it in the next block to tie it all together.. idk...I like it especially seeing the three blocks together..just my humble opinion

I agree, but didn't have enough of that fabric either!!!!!!!!!! Guess I will have to make a trip to the fabric store and make another... I will sacrifice and go shopping!

I like it as is, Linda. I think it does look like a field of flowers and it is another primary color when your blocks are all together.
