Here's what I came up with. Even though the print is too busy for a full border I REALLY wanted to use it. I'd chosen the colors for the blocks from the selvedge dots, so it become important to me. I may add another border incorporating more of the fabrics from the blocks. We'll see. Right now it's 36 inches square, a good table topper size.

    Thank you, Just Jan!

dhanke, that is a brilliant solution! It's beautiful; your colors make me think of a tropical setting.

Thanks everybody, for your kind words. Now I'm stuck. Can't decide... 4 in a row or 4 square? With pineapples or without? More blocks or not? Border or not? Been playing on the design wall and no closer to a decision than I was an hour ago! LOL (Did decide to make three blocks from a very different set of fabrics for in my sewing studio. I'm thinking chicken theme.)

Dhanke, the border is the teal color and the bright print? I really, really like what you've done. That's pretty!

Brown and blues, black and whites, tropical...all beautiful! This is a pattern when color really makes a statement. I think I need to make our soon to be grand daughter a baby quilt from this pattern. Only thing different I would do different is sew down the triangles. Wonder what it would look like in soft baby pastels??
