I usually use my Brother for piecing, but in this little apartment I don't keep it set up, so am trying to decide whether to just go ahead and use the Janome, which although has all the bells and whistles, doesn't seem quite as accurate for piecing. Decisions, decisions!
My aim is to be finished this step by tomorrow so I'll stay caught up.
I feel the same about my top of the line Janome, I do not think the piecing is as accurate as my old $3,000 Bernina. I really wish I had bought another Bernina instead of the Janome.

For a LAP QUILT of about 48 x 60 you'd need 5 times the amount of blocks. Plus borders. And the borders would probably be different, don't think you'd want the borders I am doing for a lap. I think this would make a pretty lap quilt.

Ah yes, Mary and Thimble, adding a bit of mysterium tremendum to the mystery.

Florence, love those fabrics, pretty blocks. Hope you are feeling back to 100%

Here are a couple of picks. A-E (left to right): (C is actually yellow, not white and E is the same in each picture, though it looks lighter in one photo)
Ok, since you asked for opinions... I like set 2 best, but since there appears to be no beige in the focus fabric I would substitute a green for the last fabric. I see several shades of green to choose from...

Judy this cold has been in every part of my body. It has now settled into my head and refuses to leave. It has been almost 2 weeks and I am very tired of it.

Judy, I am going to give that a try. Now what do I have to lose. Best advice I have heard yet.
