I am having a problem. I don't want another table runner and am thinking about making a lap-size quilt, but I have lots of "scrappy size pieces" and not enough yardage (looking at fabric B). I'll wait to see how the blocks turn out and decide if the fabrics I want to use can be switched around. So frustrating!

Judy has told us that any print over 3/4inch to 1 inch is too large to work. That's why I suggested using the little bats on green print and the spiderweb allover print, and then fill in with solids or those that read as solids. I don't know what else to suggest.

Evie, I just had a PM from another gal who wants to go scrappy and I am going to pass along her idea. Wish I had thought to put this in the original posting. It's a great idea.
You will be using dark, medium, medium light and light. She is assigning her scraps into these categories,
A will be a pile of dark scraps, etc. All I can suggest at this point is to make sure there is a difference between the light and medium light. Perhaps your light can be classified as very light to make sure there will be contrast.

Judy, are F-Qs useable with this project. For example, could we use 3 F-Q's in place of 3/4 yard? Or s/h we have WOF for all measurements? It's almost stash hunting time.

want to keep large Halloween print, just add a medium in the B spot. Couldn't move the green bats or
orange because of the yardage. Can't find any others in stash that I think would work.
Kass I love that material too. Put it in a chicken quilt, looked good as feathers

Judy, can you give us a hint as to the size of scraps- just a general idea? Like no smaller than X or at least X by X?

Ok, so the scale of my chickens was too large. We are cutting up "C" into smaller pieces and no one would see my chickens. So I found another chicken fabric with smaller chicks on it. Can I use this as is or can I fussy cut them to be seen? Here is a pic:
