I've not yet cut out any further blocks. I'm hoping there's enough for 6 more blocks, but there's definitely enough for 3 more.

Like the pale lattice effect in this layout, but I've an idea bubbling away for a slightly different setting, so watch this space lol.

    K

Odd that the first photo looks yellower than the second

Love your block, Evie. Really like the center.

Siodach, yours is great. Love those feathers and it turned out lovely.

janequilter - love those colors, so soft and soothing. Interesting way you laid out the geese, give it an entirely different look.

Evie since you asked I will gently insert my two cents worth. I love all your colors but I feel, my opinion only, that the bright floral detracts from the softer tones of the other fabrics.

    Siodach looking so nice!

Wow I am amazed at all the beautiful colors and the different looks that I am seeing!

Siodach I love your quilt, love it with out the boarders!

How big does a blankie need to be for a Kindergartener! I was thinking 4 blocks put in a square and maybe putting it on point to make it bigger! I ended up with a lot of extra C fabric so I will have enough!

Too many decisions, but will have something to show by end of the day!

Have a wonderful day my fellow train passengers~

[QUOTE=Evie;7668201][COLOR=#4b0082][SIZE=4][FONT=book antiqua]You ladies have come up with some lovely pieces. I haven't put my blocks together yet because I'm still deciding whether to make a larger quilt. I'm not quite sure about the center square. I think it may be too loud for a whole quilt. I'll work up three more blocks to see how it looks. What do you think? QUOTE]

I don't really like your center. That pink flower just doesn't go with the other fabrics. I would prefer to see the other print or the red as the center.

Great blocks, everyone. Janequilter, I love that pale teal with the brown. I couldn't figure out why yours looked so different until it was pointed out that your geese were flying the other direction. Makes it look totally different.

I'm going to make placemats out of mine. I'm going to do the others in different fabrics but keeping one fabric the same and all in the same family of colors. I'm not sure which fabric to use to extend the edges. Any thoughts??

I really liked this block, Judy. It seemed to go together so easily. Thanks for the mystery.

Thanks for the input, Judy and Barb in LA. That's the feeling I also got after the blocks were done. I knew it was too "loud" because it really shouted at me! I've already cut out the pieces, so I will have to find another fabric that will work in the center before sewing the other blocks. (sigh)

Do you have enough of the other print that forms the tulip shape to use it in the center also? That would be beautiful. If not then something in the tan like the flowers.
