Oops -- look at the position of the lower right hand block. Exactly what I did, so don't feel bad.

    Love the block

Ok, Here is my block. I still want to play around with the Jack In The Box blocks tomorrow. The Jack In The Box with the sashing is a picture from theelvesgarden.blogspot.com and is a 10" block. The Jack In The Box block with the pinwheel center is by Bonnie Hunter, and is a 12" block. I'm thinking the 10" block could have a 1" frame added and then alternate it with the mystery block. But I'm also wondering if the 12" block would match if I make the center pinwheel green like the mystery star. Possibilities!

I like the Jack in a Box block too...I notice the block sizes on the "generations" link do not include 12 1/2" as an unfinished size (to combine with today's block). I was working on drafting sizes needed to make it 12 1/2" and will test my draft tomorrow hopefully.

Judy you asked about the express mysteries. I vote yes! Fun and done, with less chance of becoming another one of my UFOs. This has been a fun ride. Thanks. Such pretty blocks being posted. I'm really enjoying this trip.

Jan your block turned out scrumptious. Like the Jack in the box also. Hope you are feeling better soon.

All Better! I am going to make into a place mat for Granddaughter! I really do love this pattern, I think Earth tonew would be awesome!

I love your block Jan, it looks 3 dimensional!

My points are not cut off, I cropped the picture too close! I am going to try another one of these tonight with black and white scrappy. A few years ago I started with the block of the month and I have only 7 finished, I think this block will look nice with the ones I already have! One day I might actually have a finished Black and white Scrappy quilt!

Beautiful blocks being sewn. This is a neat block to make, I've never sewn anything like this before. I always thought they'd be hard but they're very doable. Thanks Judy, great instructions!
