I can't wait either. I hope you will join us. I like that this train is express, but I haven't a clue where we are going with this.

This looks like more of a mystery than usual. Think I'm gonna pick a few sets out and wait to cut till I see a little more. Thanks Judy for the fun rides. Love the pretty colors and fabrics so far ya all have.

Thanks for looking. I am working on a La Pass always on the lookout for fussy "cuttable" fabrics.

Coopah -- next clue is tomorrow Monday -- but I think you are out of town now? Can't remember.

Thanks, Mary, I think you will be pleased with what will come out of the pieces.

A controlled scrappy. I came across a charm pack I thought I'd use. Hope I didn't goof myself up with not enough fabric. We'll see tomorrow. : )

    Default Monday - Second clue

Today you will need a neutral background, I have used a different off tone-on-tone white or off-white for each of the blocks because I didn't have enough of one fabric. You may use whatever you like.

From your background fabric, cut 8 squares that measure 2.5”, and cut 8 squares that measure 2” square. You will also need a small amount of this background fabric on Wednesday.

Mark a line on the back side of each of the 16 squares, a diagonal line corner to corner.
Pay attention to the picture which shows the placement and sewing of these squares. As you can see, the angle on the darks, both the 2.5 and the 2 inch wide pieces, is the same. And the angle on the lights is the same for both sizes.

Sew a fraction away from the line to make sure you can fold the piece over matching the corner. Press. Trim.

And that is all for today. On Wednesday, it all comes together.
