I consider it one of my "be good to me" treats! lol

OK, about this week's Flying Geese. None of my Geese rulers will work for odd sizes. They either make the geese in even or in uneven sizes. I mean they use fabrics like 3 x 6 or 3 1/2 x 6 1/2, not a combination. I had the same problem with my HST last week. My ruler calls for half inch increments and we needed even increments. Will go print off the instructions and see what I read wrong or where I need to go from there. (Perhaps that is what was meant about something being off a smidgen?) This should keep me out of trouble for awhile! LOL
Jan, the starch I buy is Sta Flo and mixed I have kept it on the counter for months and months. Never had it mold.

And yes, I guess the flying geese are an odd size and can't work with the specialty rulers. Wasn't thinking of that when I wrote the directions. But 3" x 5.5" is the size of the flying geese block at this state. I guess you call it raw, I say unfinished. Potato/Potata. LOL. And a snowball is all four corners done with 4 squares. But I have seen it called snowballed corners. Tomato/tomata?

Mary, Jan has been my on-line mentor whether she wants to or not:-) She has gotten me through so many learning steps, I just started quilting this spring so believe me, I have needed help!

So, speaking of being new at this, I did a big crash and burn this afternoon. Somehow I measured a bunch of squares to the wrong size, sewed them all, trimmed, and then wondered why it didn't look right - duh! So I had to recut all of the 5.5" and 3" squares and sew them - again. I just had to take a break and eat chocolate. LOL

Thanks for the good words on my "blues"! Just felt like sewing today and...there was the new clue. The pictures were very helpful. Today's work created a lot of leftovers from the FG and the pieces I call the "houses" . So before I cut off the triangles I sewed again a half inch away from the correct sew line and created a bunch of HSTs that I squared to 2". I need two small projects for a meeting Tuesday, so these will be made into mug rugs by then.
