Just looked in my scrap drawer and realized I'm going to have to wear shades! It's an explosion of colour in there.

Any ideas of neutrals to go with such brights? (Turquoise/fuschia/purples/primaries etc) because I'm going to have to purchase neutrals.

paintmejudy......If you don't have scraps and would want to go with just a few primary colors, is that possible? I do have some Jelly rolls that I could use. Most are in shades of browns and greens with a beige to white background.

Edited to add: I do have a couple of jelly rolls that are very summer to fall colors.

I'm tempted to join, but I don't have much in the way of scraps! Maybe I'll wait and see if I can make it with FQs or yardage instead...

Regarding all the fabrics --nothing smaller than 2.5" -- bigger and wider are good. Will need some bigger at a later date

jillmc yes, love all the first-timers that are joining

Watson if you don't have a lot of neutrals, or because of your explosion of beautiful colors, have you considered yardage of white or cream or something like that?

lark you could use yardage but have no idea of how to estimate what you would need. If you have FQ or Yardage, and you want to cut into that, that would be fine too. Next week, you will have a better feel of what you will need. And just think, you will begin to have a scrap bin with your leftovers!

I'm enjoying reading the banter on the thread, but it is definitely colourless. By now we would have been sharing our fabric picks, but since it's scrappy, I guess that is hard to do. However, I want colour! So here is a pic of scraps I've pulled plus one of my 3" strip "collections" I keep on hangers. From looking at the array, I need to hunt down some more green. Just have to find the right tub.

Count me in on this ride. Need to use the scraps up! Have a baby quilt to get done for a little boy. Scrap bin diving it is.

In fact, I have the last mystery on my bed right now that I participated in. Might have been a couple mysteries ago, but sure love it.
