Jeanie, your Grand Illusion turned out beautiful. As great as they are, some of Bonnie's patterns are way too "busy" for me.

My hand is getting better, not as much pain, and I can grip the cutter. I'm not entirely comfortable yet, so I'm holding off cutting. Exercising it daily and hope it will get better so I can get back to quilting! The most I seem able to do now is sewing together already-cut squares, making four-patches and such. At least it's something.

Good morning, all, and hope you are having a great weekend. I am off to the airport in a few hours to visit my daughter in Houston, exchanging the heat here for the humidity there! See you all in a couple days, hoping you can catch up and getting ready for next Saturday.

Evie, feel so bad for you, know what it is like not to be able to cut. Some days I can hardly lift that life-giving cup of coffee in the morning!

Jeanie, your Grand Illusion is so festive, colorful, fun! I know BH patterns can be busy but I always enjoy seeing the various finished results and I really like yours!

PS You're very near my folks in Simi Valley Lots of fun memories from my youth running all around Ventura County - in fact, I was just talking about the annual Strawberry Festival in Oxnard!

Thank you everyone for the kind comments on my Grand Illusion. Indeed BH does like small pieces, but this one was just too busy - I did not like it at all. I saw another done with the sashing between the blocks, and decided to add a sashing to mine. So glad I did, I really like it now.

Christine - I was born and raised in Ventura. I have lived in Camarillo since 1969. Never lived anywhere else!

Would you stop over here when you're finished with your sewing room.
