Spartan - Glitzy Jane is going to be beautiful. Your blocks get better each time! What a story you will be able to tell. KUDOS!

Tyme and XS your blocks look great! Keep it up.

Am I supposed to be making some of these and posting them? I have been so frustrated with Jane, not because of difficulty, but because I had to remake a block since I grabbed the wrong color. And because I rushed the redo, it came out wonkier than the first...perfect in the wrong color vs. wonky in the right color. Anyone see why I threw my hands up and took a break???

Ok venting is over. Thanks for listening (reading). Back on the wagon tonight! Pinky promise.

Beautiful blocks everyone. I can't believe that some are already on rows J & K. I finally mailed my oldest DGD's wedding quilt to her (too heavy to carry in my suitcase) and I finished the quilt for my DGGD's first birthday. My cutting table is clear and I hope to finish 1 or 2 more blocks before I fly out to CA for the wedding. You keep me inspired even though I am so far behind.

there is no 'behind' Losie [except the ones we sit on
Fraew.... I share your venting.... so what happened to me - aside from the fact I haven't posted much - actually will post next weeks tomorrow because I have a couple more pointers and was so far behind I simply decided to skip over this weeks a while! I've been enjoying sitting back with DH watching or simply listening to tv while hand appliqueing & sewing. I haven't quite gotten to the part where you do the whole thing by hand although I must say it is sooooo very very much softer when you do! here cometh the frustration... ahem
since I've been working by hand I fast forwarded and started a few hand appliqued blocks. namely, E1 and E2 [and C5, 6 and D3...] well it appears I cut the background square of E2 just a tad small. Measured the center of the book pattern with the Dear Jane square by accident - BE CAREFUL - dont do that one!! so it measured 3 1/4" finished instead of the real 3 1/2" eeeek!! when I sewed on the final border to the square which was appliqued and had been sewn on a generous piece of background so I could have prevented this... I placed my DJ square ruler once again to 'trim' the excess [haha] off and thought to myself ..'looks small' Because it was! now I thought I could do what Jane herself did because if you look at the picture of E2 it looks as though she added a narrow background border in addition to the sashing. oh well... no This one I will add a different final row to.

Thanks, Fraew, for the comments. Yes, I can see the improvements, myself, so that encourages me to forge ahead. I have gotten a little behind, but so what, I will just keep on plugging along. I am also working on a couple of other quilts. One for friends who are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary this summer. So, I may have to set Jane aside for awhile. Such is life. Again to all others who have posted blocks, I love all the different fabrics that are being used, and the colors, WOW. Keep them coming.

Monica ( Gus) has just asked me to let you all know that she is having some problems posting at the moment and that she hopes to sort it out soon. Is anyone else experiencing any problems - especially if adding 'photos etc ? Does your cursor move as you type - or is it a bit delayed at times ?
    Thanks !
