Gail - be careful when you pull the block choices 'out of a hat!' .....we'd like to see many finished products!!! print out the schedule on the first page and note of those that are in "red" these are the most difficult ones - you dont want to start with them and lose someone I-5 is considered intermediate - it is a lot like B-11 - actually when I look at that one I'm not sure which is harder

on another note - my Bernina needs to go back to its maker!!! it is not good.... got my Pfaff out of storage today and hopefully I can actually get something done! I've been gone to continuing ed for the Cal Bar classes since Thursday - wow - lots of ACA seminars - all you wanted to know about the Affordable Health Care Act quite interesting and ethical... albeit maybe not desirable for the upper echelon of corporate world... [ooops - Nancy - can I make this comment??]
    Gus... I speak no more

Fraew, thanks for the tips. I have a hard time when I'm going sections of paper piece. I'll try you idea next time (although I use the book only, not the computer program). Beautiful blocks!

Hi, Katybob, I decided to make my DJ a bright using batiks. The trouble is, I also love the Civil war fabrics and can see myself making another DJ in these fabrics.

We have decided to cheat and if we pick out an Advanced block then choose another. I would be the least experienced in our group but have been patching for nearly 30 years.

That's why I'm making two! One is civil war fabrics and the other is mostly pastels. I started the civil war DJ in July of last year and the pastel DJ with this group in January.

Received my Dear Jane book, next decision "what colors?" Scrappy, batiks, civil war...it's on my bucket list. I have those fabrics. Maybe one of those to practice & make mistakes and one in Shweshwe fabric from South Africa in blues and whites. Drawback: must be prewashed.

I have been thinking how I can make this easier....I'm thinking RAW EDGE APPLIQUÉ ? Instead of EPP

    just saying

Because I googled EPP and have never done it, but I have done raw edge.
