Beautiful as always, Dotty and Gladys!!

I can't believe soon we'll be coming up on one year ago that we started! Thank you again, Gus, for organizing us.

Here is another block I'm trying to catch up with. C-7 Megan's Mountain Laurel. The right side is not that crooked, it just wasn't lying flat. But, can you believe I scorched it???!!! (See bottom, center of block.) Reminded me of the Little Women movie when Jo scorched her sister's hair while curling it. What is that smell? LOL I'm not taking myself too seriously here, I have so much to be thankful for and DJ is what I do for fun and relaxation.

Dotty - your blocks are incredible!! as are Gladys' and Cindy's.... sure I missed a few - yes, Dotty - very very quiet! hope to get back soon and maybe even get some tutes together. My DDIL stayed in TX with their youngest - my very sweet GS to attend her uncle's funeral which was today. I've been bz watching boys that came home with their daddy. Maybe we can stir up some action here. Although, I do think we are all getting into the bz holiday spirit of things. Had a progressive dinner with my quilt mini-group this past Thursday [dessert was at my house.] That was so much fun - I advise all to do this when you have a chance!! Now for DJ..... I did schedule 2 weeks of 'catch-up/holiday time' at the end of this month.... doubt it's enough but we'll see
Gus

Thanks very much Gus and it is nice to see you back here again ! I have a little DJ group - about 10 - 12 of us that meet about once a month and I love getting together - and we all help one another with tips and ideas for the blocks !Next Sunday is our Christmas meeting and we are all bringing food to share and have some Christmas music and we will all be jolly !!!!!
Nice block Cindy !
Do you remember the Arnold Schwarzenegger film Jingle All The Way ? One of our grandson's loves Lego - and there is a set - a Fire Station - his little heart desires !! Well it is selling like hot cakes in the UK and difficult to get - BUT last night I found one on line and have reserved it to go and pick it up today !!! It is just under an hour away - but to see his face on Christmas Day the distance will be worth it !!I feel like Arnie !!!!!!!!!!
By the way I found K5 ( in my last pictures I posted) a bit of a challenge ! The way I did it was Foundation pieced the diamonds and then did like a log cabin around the 4 four diamonds and cut it to size -- much easier !
Have a nice weekend !

Dotty, thanks so much for your tip on K-5. That's exactly what I will do! Here's Week 47 for me:

The two triangles were definitely a challenge.

Hello everyone!
I continue forward with my Dear Jane, this is my week # 24. Those are E-7, E-8 y E-9.
I really enjoyed making them!
Share them the photos and I hope they are to your liking.
In my city today they make more than 34° C (93,2 F) - really hot and heavy!
And me and mi husband are putting together the Christmas tree, because yesterday - day of the Virgin Mary - could not do it!
Enjoy your day! Very good Sunday!
A hug!

Week 48:

I've finished my Civil War DJ through Row I and I spent way too much time this weekend sewing rows together instead of doing what I was supposed to be doing -- Christmas shopping -- yuk! I'm going to make this one lapsize and I'm trying to finish the top so I'll have some hand quilting to take with me when I head to my son's house for Christmas week.
