I'm still around. I was traveling for two weeks and its so good to be home! I just got 10 more batiks for my BatikJane BOM. GASPS!! I was on such a roll before traveling, now I feel behind again. AND I have ALOT of quilts to make for my MotherInLaw, one for each of her grandchildren..... I'm excited to do this for her but I don't want to put down my Janes.... I'm in conflict....

DottyD, where are you with the process at this point?
Hi Cindy, All good here in the UK !!
I have had a bit of a lull with DJ as a few other things going on -
A challenge with my quilt group - a mini quilt each month for a year - 4 months of "Lines" 4 months of "Squares and Rectangles" and 4 months of "Circles" - just got a little hand sewing to do and they will be done.
Then - a friends grandchild due in July - quilt is pieced - just need to layer and quilt it !
Then I have been asked to do a workshop on bag making - so prepped that !!
Time flies when your busy LOL !
ANYWAY - I have cut lots of sashing out and am begining to attach the strips to the blocks. I am going to do them in blocks of 4 x 4 - ie :-
    A1 - A4 - B1 - B4 + C and D and THEN join them to A5 - A9 and A10 - A13 etc ! See how it goes !
Also had some tests at the hospital and see Consultant next week - so that is why I have been quiet - hope everyone else all OK. Have a nice weekend all !!

It really has been quiet -- life has gotten in the way of what I'd rather be doing the last couple of weeks. Dotty, I'll be thinking about you the next few days. I hope everything turns out okay. Here's my blocks for the week of June 2:

Thanks Katybob - lovely K10 and the kite looks great.
The tests I had are OK - so now seeing Gynae Consultant on Wed - the joys of being a woman eh ?
I have joined Row A's in the three blocks and hope to get row B done today. We have our Dear Jane
group meeting tomorrow - called Natterjanes. We meet in a tiny Engish village in a lovely hall - it is so quaint - it would be so wonderful if everyone on here could come TOO !!!!!
Well I MUST do a little bit of ironing before I get my machine humming !

Yes, thinking about you DottyD, and hoping everything goes well. And if you're so inclined-would LOVE to see some pictures of your tiny English village and the hall where you meet. That is certainly something to look forward to and shows commitment to be able to make that drive to get there.

RS-8. I didn't check for tips but dove right in on this one. I knew I'd never get that small triangle made with sharp points using applique, so I pieced that part. I wanted the hearts to be red, but RS-7 is red as well. So, I may not place those side by side when I put the quilt together.

I've got some blocks to reposition myself because I have several of the same colors paired I'm also convinced I cant get Jane done for the Sept show so have turned once again to try to finish some UFOs - I will do some of Jane's blocks and post and also post the All Around the Town quilt [Sue Garman ...on the last 'house' now but still lots to do]
Glad everything so far looks good Dotty....I too have had some health issues and have been quieter than normal - two main things going on - first I am normally the one with the memory like a steel sieve that everyone around me relies on and for the past several weeks I've come to realize it is as though someone took one file folder out of my brain and dumped all the information. The rest of my memory is intact - to the point of remembering times, clothes, episodes, people events over the past 58 or so years and recently.... just really weird and a bit scarey. At first I thought this and some other symptoms had to do with my thyroid - but no. Other problem has to do with my gut - feels like something rotting or not emptying and a constant nausea/vertigo. My bro died of pancreatic cancer at my age so it freaks me a little although probably not the same at all. But lots of tests - waiting for labs now & GI specialist Tuesday, then MRI, etc.... oh to be young and normal??

Oh, Monica, I'm so sorry to hear about your health issues. Hang in there, hoping for the very best outcome.
