My big problems right now are A10 and B9. My workmanship isn't good and they don't lie flat. I'll go back to them later
Third row down second block in is my A11. I changed the white squares to an oblong on the opposite sides -- someone suggested that way as the easiest. Then I sewed the various parts into units to assemble into three rows. I added the white strips on the edges last. Even tho the pix in the book doesn't show it, the drawing does.

Mim - for B9 I am using a stripe fabric so I can't do it the way that quilt recommends. I havent done that block yet, however I have decided how to do it. I will cut my four mid-sections 2 1/2" wide by 3 1/4" tall [this will actually be slightly more length than I need] I will mark the width at 1 1/4" at what will be the 'center edge' near the middle square... better yet - press a crease in to mark the half the full length of this piece. Line up a small square ruler with a 45 degree mark such that the 45 degree line lines up perfectly with your crease and the point is even with the fabric on the end that will be your small square. cut both directions. When you repeat this to four sections you will have four "arrowheads" that will become the middle of your block. If you sew 1/4" seam from the point-side [1/4" from that point] to exactly 1 3/8" from the edge of the fabric, you will be able to insert the corners with a y-seam. For A-10 I used the thatquilt instructions completely and there were no problems. I can try to put another tute up - I just wont be able to get to it until Monday

I'm afraid I'm quite a bit behind. I was supposed to close on a new home on Friday, but it's been delayed to this coming week. I have to get my present home ready to rent out... busy, busy. Before knowing about the house, I committed to a charity quilt, so started that http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...p-t183000.html . Here is what I've finished for DJ. Obviously, the top/first one is not right and will have to be redone. I did not carefully cut my templates. Doing it right takes a lot longer, but the results are so much better and do not have to be redone

Oh...Today is my 1 yr. anniversary on the board... woo hoo!

Well, I am just loving all the different colors and fabrics in blocks that are being posted.
Congrats, Nancy on your one year anniversary. You are one busy woman.
I remembered that I should post this week's blocks, since I just posted last week's, yesterday.

A-10 You can see that I am still having trouble with points, but hoping to improve

C-12 This one was fun to do, and it blows people's minds when they see all the tiny squares, and ask, how did you do that?

B-9 This is the wonkiest of the 3, and is going into the competition for wonkiest block. I can see that I may lose part of a point, but that is the way it goes. I am seeing improvement as I progress. My goal in doing this quilt was to improve my sewing & quilting skills, and I can see that happening already. That is why I am not redoing blocks. Unless it is really bad. I will do a second DJ when I get this one done, and will hopefully do a much better job.
Keep posting pictures, everyone, I so love seeing them all.

WOW! There sure is a lot of eye candy here! Great work everyone. I'm quite behind but slowly catching up. I'll probably post another picture this week.
