2012-2013 Dear Jane Stickle 2d Cyber Party Pictures and Discussion

Love your blocks, Cindy. I especially like the blue fabrics you've been using. I've been tempted to start the blue and cream DJ block-of-the-month offered by Stitchin' Heaven just because I love blue so much. Expensive, but I've probably spent at least that much over the years collecting fabric for my current DJ. Speaking of blocks that go together quickly, I jumped ahead yesterday and started RS-3. It's not really difficult, but very time-consuming and I just noticed I reversed my background and focal fabrics in the center and it's going to stay that way!
Here are my blocks for the week of June 9:

All those blocks are lookin good!!!
Went to see GI doc this morning - the tests I was most worried about came back normal and a lot of the other was possibly due to a med that was supposed to help me sleep but instead was messin with my mind
Hope to show some pics soon ...wanted to give a quick update.
Gus

GRRRRR! My Dear Jane Cd finally arrived yesterday. I went to install it and found out it doesn't work on a MAC computer. My Old ancient computer is a PC. Not sure if I should install it on there or sell the CD. If I put it on the old PC I will have to print everything out or keep running up and down the stairs. I don't know why so many programs don't come with a MAC version when Macs are so popular. I am off tomorrow and was going to sew on this all day. I want to go queen sized and don't know how much to enlarge.

I don't know what you want the finished size to be for your queen size bed? I always go to this site...
http://www.amishcountrylanes.com/Pages/QuiltSize.shtml
They have a great interactive calendar that allows you to add drop sizes, headboards, etc. Ex. for a queen 'coverlet' with the following specs this is what they recommend... 86" wide by 105" long -- 13" drop, 12" tuck [pillow tuck I imagine]. The original Jane finishes around 81-82" square. I would almost suggest simply increasing the sashing size somewhat. If you increase from 1/2" to 1" you would already end up with a 89" square. This way you wouldnt have to mess around with all of the measurements. You could further enlarge the quilt by enlarging the scallop width and possibly enlarging the final sashing around the central block section. Just a few suggestions. I know I wouldnt want to adjust everything!

Dakota - those are amazing!! [lots of quilts from Netherlands ...my birthplace didnt know quilting was popular there - which reminds me - where is Anael?]
I've got to ask you ladies - how do you get those feedback scores? suppose I could look it up - does that mean you sell on the site or do swaps?
I've strayed from Jane once again... [feedback score = -100]
