I'm almost done with my DJ. I need backing and binding fabric which I plan to purchase tomorrow. I spent this Labor Day weekend attaching the Tri borders. Our guild is having their annual quilt show in October and my goal is to have it ready for the show.
I have used many techniques including fusible appliqué, paper piecing, needle turn appliqué, reverse appliqué, and hand stitching. The blocks certainly are not even close to perfect but once it was all put together, I don't even notice the wonky ones. And doesn't Brenda say something to the effect of "done is better than perfect"?
i plan to post a photo when all done.

Today I completed T 1 and T 2 from Stitchin Heaven's BOM fabric. Must eventually redo my sample Jane T 1 and T 2. Paper piecing is not quick. Gotta love that seam riper...

Wow such pretty work going on! Machine quilting to be jealous of AND DJ. I miss my Jane. I think I'm nearly ready to wake her up again.

Yup, come on Sheri, wake her up.....I did & it doesn't take long to get re-hooked! I would be working on her right now if I wasn't so dang tired today. It's only 7 pm here & I would love to hit the bed!

Adnil458 - that's why I'm so behind. Well, maybe. I had grand plans to catch up over the summer while I'm off. I did get some done, but didn't catch up like I thought I could. But will keep plugging along. Love your blocks, I've enjoyed the recent activity here on this board.

I worked all morning on the right A 9 in this picture. This proves that a pattern is just a guide ( can you see the difference in these blocks other than color scheme) , you don't have to be perfect, mistakes can be fixed and I will need a lot of patience.
