Anael, there was over 141 blocks in my king sized FWSQ with each being 6.5 inches. I am thinking DJ and 50 stars are a big undertaking...will try and see what happens....as there is Bonnie Hunter's Mystery Quilt Celtic Sunrise, too. Finishing the MB for PC and doing the SYE with the group. Somewhere in all that I want to finish Irish Mist.

    I am considering either 10 or 8 inch. I really don't want 12 inches.

I've made 5 12" blocks so I'll stick to that size. I'm seriously considering doing QAYG the Jan way I don't have to think about backing right away and my blocks are finished when the last block is made, no quilting afterwards, just SID. Like nygal I have enough tops waiting as it is.

I will leave you now for hopefully just a few days. Having to have surgery, will be admitted tomorrow.
    Don't start without me

Me too. Didn't get many done, but I watched everyone's progress through the year. It will be fun sewing and watching again.

The video that I saw online showed you can put the backing on each block as you quilt it. I like that idea rather than one big piece at the end of the blocks being done. She showed different colored backing blocks and it almost made it look like a reversible quilt!

I in. I bought the book back in 2000 but it seemed a little overwhelming. Now I'm excited to try just concentrating on one block a week. It will be fun to sew along and see all the different ones people make. I will quilt as you go to insure that I finish it and not throw it up in the closet to finish later.

LOL your organization skills sound similar to mine. I have my quilt tops that are waiting to be quilted folded over plastic hangers in my craft room closet.
