qltgrose, I would definitely make them smaller. This is my first king size quilt and I am wondering how I'm going to launder it, though I do have the quilting part figured out. I have the top pieced and it's just so huge, I'm trying to think of a back.

carriem, the weeks don't matter, I'd love to see what you have done when you get time to do them.

toverly, just when I thought I had decided to have a dark background, you post a perfectly luscious block on creams. Oh, I am so confused.

Hi Everyone

JanR and toverly your colours in your block a very refreshing, Thank you to everyone that offered to look for my fabric I was able to get hold of the Distributor in Australia for that fabric and he has given me a list of shop that he has supplied the fabric to latley and I rang on this morning and they are putting into post for me I am making sure I have enough got them to sen 1 mtr(lyn's one happy quilter again.) Now I might be able to constract on getting some other things done.
Barb inLouisiana If you are planing on doing the full 50 block with the same back ground get 2-3 yards extra.
I got 7 mtrs (is what someone worked out form me) the first time and then got 2 more (should have brought the end off the roll) and still need 1/2mtr extra, I am doing 12" blocks.

Hello everyone! It's been a while since I posted because I got "distracted" by other projects. All of your blocks are so beautiful. The finished quilts are going to be fabulous!

Here's my Ohio.

Hi Barb, I know what you mean about dark or light background. I went with light just because my house is light. A dark quilt would have been too dark for my bedroom. But then I didn't realize it would be kingsize. Silly me. Lyn Hut, I'm so glad you found your fabric. Love those blocks. I like how you decided to make the Ohio star a more solid star, it looks completely different to me. Podunk Princess, what a great blue you have for the star. I like how it pulls the blue from the background batik. Have a great day everyone!

DpttyD, beautiful purples, Oh, wow! You are right in step with all the beautiful blocks shared with all here...maybe a step ahead of me...more than one, because I 'tabled' all stars in April, but still stop by and admire the beautiful work. Love it! Well done.

Good Morning Everyone! Hope y'all had a good weekend. It was beautiful here but stifling hot and humid. Worked great for the batting wrinkles but that was about it. Here is my Oklahoma.

Love the colors you used--very bright and cheery. Did you like this block? I didn't care a whole lot for it; doesn't seem to fit in with the other stars altho it was fun to make.
