I love checking in with everyone! I have missed this thread. Alas, my top is together and fold up in the closet right now. I don't know why I have such a mental block about quilting it. But I will get to it one day. If y'all start a new thread I'll tag along for the inspiration! Love your block DottyD, that black really pops the colors.

So what do people think...do we just stay on this thread or do I check to see if we can start a new one for 2015 with the goal of 1 block a week again??
I suggest new year=new thread. I started these with the 2013 group and didn't get a single one made in 2014. I love making them and would like to get going again. Whatever you decide, I'll be checking in from time to time.

I AM with you I also have my quilt top together and waiting to be quilted I have no idea on how to quilt it and really feel that I probably won't be able to quilt it so it looks great.

    Dottie--very pretty block!

Jan--great job getting those blocks put together in a quilt!

I have requested a new thread for 2015....I will post the link once it is approved.

    Another great star DottieD.

Love your quilt top Jan, I especially like the border. It ties it all together.

I just found this thread tonight and read 15 pages before I figured out that is was for Jan of 2014. I LOVE stars, don't have a book and would love to take part if these are not 5 or 6 " blocks.

mmac71--The blocks are 12"...there are directions in the book if you want to make smaller blocks.

Here is the link to the new thread:

    (trying again) http://www.quiltingboard.com/quiltin...w-t259314.html

You will see that I just put to post as you complete blocks...suggested to new people to start at Alabama and work their way through.
