I'm beginning the setting portion of the quilt
On point
four patch of four 10" blocks with a pinwheel in center
off set by individual block flanked by scrappy 2.5" squares

If I wasn't a lazy bum there is another background area where 4 blocks meet that would be cute with a smaller pinwheel but I don't want this to drag on forever

Love all the blocks shown, each and every one.

That's Wonderful Kalamaquilts. I've begun thinking of how to set the blocks also but haven't come up with anything as great as yours, love the pinwheels.

Things have really changed for me in the last week. My sweet 87 year old Mother now lives with us. She was in the hospita with pneumonia and has recovered but can no longer live on her own. So some of the extra things I had in the guest bedroom are now in my craft room. Luckily I am way ahead of these blocks but hope I can work on some as time permits.

Nygal, sorry to hear about your MIL but sometimes living with family can be really great.

Kalamaquilts your quilt will be stunning. I had planned just putting them together now you have me thinking :-)

Anyone else intimidated by Florida :-) will get mine started tonight or tomorrow. Today is full day of being mom chauffeur

Have a great week everyone!!

Here's Florida, then I'm caught up. I have to work to put more together. I thought this was a tough one.

Here's my Florida. I thought I'd use citrus colors since that's what Florida is known for.

thanks for the compliments, I'll do a better photo when I have more components finished
California is the one I don't like, I expect it will go in the bin unless I decide to do 1/2 stars in those big V's around the edge.

NYGal, I brought my mother home from the nursing home last October, 89 w/advanced dementia. I'm grateful I am able to do it, my job disappeared in August, like it was meant to be. I have my Stars stuff set up in her room which is how I've gotten this far this fast.
Every day several times a day she asks what I'm doing, I always answer making a quilt.
I still work, just at home!
