Beautiful blocks everyone, here is my Maine for this week and also the quilt that started me on paper piecing. This was my first paper pieced quilt, I called it Candy Stars and it was made 14 years ago. It looks a little crushed but I had to take it off my lounge to take the pic..

I'm still playing catch up. Here's my Kentucky block. It really is square. I'm not sure why is looks skewed but this pic showed the colors best.

The colors are just amazing in all the blocks, cant wait to see how they all look set together, especially from those who are using different backgrounds and colors!

I see all these beautiful blocks and I'm so glad I purchased the downloadable CD so I can print them out to make!

Wonderful job ladies, colors are spectacular!

    Hugs,

    Hi Ladies,

I am tracing all my patterns, and have been reading that some off you print you patterns the question is what paper do you use in the printer, and the question to Mirabella can I buy it here in Australia or other Aussie's on site, maybe not for this quilt as I only have 4 more to trace but for further quilts I am sure to do.

Hi Lyn Hut, I use a really inexpensive "newsprint" pad. I purchase the 9 x 13 pad at the dollar store in the kids art section. I use my rotary cutter to cut it to 8 1/2 x 11 for the printer. I have an inexpensive printer and have to feed the sheets in one at a time, but it works great.

Jump right in Cajun and anyone else who wants to join. I think it's Maryland next. You can post right along, the only difference is you have more to do in January. But I know I'll be trying to put all these stars together. Maybe even starting on a Red,White,Blue. It's been so fun, and it really adds up fast.

    Hi Lyn
I been purchasing Foundation Paper Piecing Paper from Punch with Judy, but I now see that Berrima Patchwork is carrying it, you can also get it from Ebay. Just Google Carol Doak's Foundation Paper. Another alternative is OfficeWorks for doodle pads as long as the paper is thin., which would be a lot less expensive.

I have a wonderful stationery store in my little town and when asking about paper that was less that 80GSM she told me that she had ordered in a box of paper for the computer shop and they didn't take it, so she opened the box and told me that if I could use it she would sell it to me for cost price.. What a score, I got 2000 sheets for $40, just have to cut the paper down to size for my printer. It is a nice fine paper and is so easy to remove.
