Thanks, Patrice. This should be fun. I think I need to go to LQS & grab at least 1 dark to mix into my colors. I've been looking at the pix of January's & keep seeing mine & think it's pretty pale. Maybe a dark gray.

    Default Bom 2015

Oh I just noticed this BOM project. I have obviously missed the first month. I can handle this block---so am interested in using up some of my stash.
Is there a way that I can see the pattern for the first month?
Is it too late to join the group?
    How do I do that?

First I would like to thank you for the great blocks. I have a question. Feeling embarrassed to ask but I am new to quilting and have made the first block, and want to start on the second. My question do you use material with colors that go together through out your quilts or not. I am afraid that I will use scraps which are few and far between and it will look terrible and will have nothing to go with it when it come to backing fabric and borders.

Some people match the fabric and some use totally different fabrics every month. If you don't want to use them together in a quilt you can make mug rugs (placemat big enough for a mug and a treat usually), pillows, placemats, potholders, etc. I think someone mentioned they were going to put white borders on all their blocks and have a matchy, but different, set of placemats. Even if they don't seem like they match some scrappy quilts looks great put together once the sashing (fabric frames in between the blocks) is added.

Any Suggestions for Choosing the fabrics for this block? It seems kind of busy on the sample.

I think I bought 3 sets of fabrics for this block before I was satisfied and began cutting. I'll be putting it together tomorrow. I'm excited.
