20th Mystery Quilt Train Ride

Everyone’s stuff looks so nice. I’ve really been motivated by joining this group & decided today was the day to make a new ironing board cover since my other one that I made was getting kind of stained up. The first picture will be of the older ironing board cover (I still love it & will trade it back & forth with this new one if I can get it to come pretty decently clean) & the second is of my just freshly made new ironing board cover. Wowza fabric huh?! I love it! I have to have my covers custom because my rather awesome dad made me a wider, longer ironing board top for all my quilting needs. He’s a really great, hard working man. Going like gang busters still at 71. Him & my mom both actually.

Waiting for Saturday, here's my new breakfast treat. I'll make some to share! It's an apple, cored, sliced, and cooked for 2 mins in the microwave. Top w yogurt, honey or maple syrup, crunchy stuff. Yum! I do like a sweet breakfast.

Love the ironing board Julz! I've been using boring tick cloth on mine, but it does hold up well. I bought some in pink for when I need to replace it. It was 75% off and that is always on OK color in my book!
Dotty, that sounds really yummy, and I happen to have all the ingredients on hand so may try that this AM. DH would probably appreciate that!

Here are the pictures for Mary - the clutch bags I made for DD. I used the Pink Sands pattern, but after making the first one I searched online and found a tutorial that used a slightly different method that was easier and turned out nicer.
The finish about 4" x 8"
My DD is really into handbags.

Great ironing board cover. Dotty tanks for the new recipe.Cathy glad you got caught up. Thanks for posting the pictures. I love making bags and seeing what everyone else is making. Beautiful fabrics used on them. Great job. Can you post a link to the tute you found online?

The hardware is from Pink Sands, my LQS has some and I grabbed them when they had a 25% off sale. They glue in place. The fun part was digging through my stash for fabric that would work well.
I was watching the Crafty Gemini tutorial, but there are several.

I didn't follow it exactly, but I loved how she put the heavy stabilizer in after turning. The other directions have you fuse it and then you're trying to get it turned and . . . I also did not like having exposed seams as the Pink Sands direction did (they are french seams, but still not the same as having the lining separate).
