    Janie, this looks great!
That large white square would look great quilted with a turquoise thread design in the center of it!

Janie, it does look neat without sashing - and does give some nice negative space for neat quilting.

I have my blocks sashed and together. I really want to put a border on it, but have no idea what . . .

I was so unhappy with washing & tangled thread mess that I tossed this top in the closet for a while. I am assured the wonderful quilters who do the charity finishing will turn it into something nice . The deadline for contributions to Empire Guild is Saturday, so I' ll add a border and send it on its way! On to #21! Thanks, Judy!

MacyBaby - I love the way each block is a different color. I wish I made mine more controlled and made each block the same. I'm afraid the girl I made it for would have liked it better.

Janie - I love your layout. Makes it look totally different than with sashing.

I want to put another border on mine but have to decide what to do.

Macy, I loved how yours has turned out. I would be hard to border that unless you did a few smaller borders in colorways like maybe greens/yellows then oranges/red then blues/purples or something like that. Either that or find a very multicolored print.
Janie, personally I would stash it but that’s because I like my stars to show, but that’s just me. Judy’s right that those white spots would make a nice place for some focused quilting.
I’ve hit a bit of a lull. My stomach is acting up bad again so I’ve been in bed doing nothing for 2 days. After having been so active for the last several weeks it’s really hard to have to slow down. Prayers would be nice for guidance for my Dr to help me get my gut worked out.

This looks great, Janie. I like the secondary design that emerges. Very pretty.

Thanks all for your comments. I liked the idea of the negative space for fmq but I don’t like how the stars get lost. I think I’m going to use sashing.

Im leaning toward the dark coral.

Yep I like it better with the sashing and you see the stars better. I like the green best though the coral is very nice too.

Love the coral JanieW, it's funny I'm usually a green girl but the coral seems to pop the tiny flower colors.

Macy baby, that's a great idea about a color around each star. I may have to borrow that one.

I know I want sashing, I tried sewing my totally scrappy together without and totally lost the stars. So sashing it is. So far, no one fabric has shown up to be the one. Maybe it's off to the fabric shop. I like the strippy look but like the solid sashing better.
