Hi Vintagemotif, your block is very pretty and gay. I was wishing I had some Pink Flamingo fabric for my Florida block!

Meanmom those are some lovely blocks - they are going to look great in a finished quilt.

Vintage Nice bright colors you chose. I like the way they look together!

Thanks for all the compliments. I am very happy with how they are coming out. I never thought of putting flamingos in my florida block. I love flamingos. I have a collection of flamingo fabrics just waiting for the right project to come along. I just might have to redo Florida. My guest bathroom is done up in flamingos.

Nicky, Re: your idea of pink flamingos. That would have been a fun fabric quest, to make each star with something to do with the State.

in case anyone wanted to know the state colors (not flag colors) ... not all states have official colors

Still no Florida from me this week....made this instead for a friend at the LQS...she wouldn't hush about my purse but didn't want to make a "da*n" purse herself (although she make unreal quilt tops) -- so I made a Bow Tuck for her and a little zipper pouch just to hush her up. Guess I'll be busy next week making 2 blocks.

I love looking at all these blocks. They are so pretty. Seeing all nine together is fantastic. I really am working on mine. 2 finished and 2 almost finished. Have just about given up thinking I can catch up, but will sew on!
