This is the first quilt I ever made. I have sewed my whole life but one day just decided to make a quilt. The owner of the LQS showed my how to paper piece in a 10 minute demo. I went home and looked at the video and made the quilt. There are 64 squares in it. It is either Oklahoma or Oregon .

So did I, and am having good success printing them on little kids writing paper. It's smaller that 8.5 by 11 but is big enough, and thin. Still having trouble finding time to finish and post pictures of my blocks. Maybe if I'd get off the Quilting Board and start sewing.........

Meanmom, What a beautiful quilt. Makes me want to change the background of my stars.

Here's Hawaii. It's supposed to be a sunset. Wish I had separated the oranges.

Thanks for the compliments on my quilt. I nearly gave up several times on it. The first block took my at least 10 hours. Once I got the hang of it and got organized I could do one in a little over an hour. Since they were all the same it was easier.
White pine I love your Hawaiian sunset.

Hi WhitePine, your Hawaii is beautiful. Mine is almost done. I used similar colors to the book, which remind me of sand, sea and lucious vegetation!

Here is my Hawaii block. The colors remind me of sand, water, and luscious vegetation.
