This block is time consuming. It has the most pieces of any of the stars. But it is beautiful! Congratulations ona job well done. Mona Lisa, love your Mississippi!

Default Michigan

Here is my Michigan, a couple burps, and this was one I did just a quarter at a time. Not sure why other than this isn't my favorite block.

Great new blocks, especially the Michigans. I was born and raised there too PokerDiva, in the Lansing area, although my heart is in the UP.

There is so much good music from Michigan that I didn't even know where to begin. This is to all you folks from Michigan (past & present). Songs to sew by:

To celebrate the world of Motown, Martha & the Vandellas:

To celebrate a music icon from Michigan, Stevie Wonder:

To take notice of a city, Saginaw:

To remember a tragedy on the greatest lake in the world (I love this song & it has great pictures):

Here's autumn in Michigan . Definitely not my favorite either. I wanted it to be but I thought it would never end. Can you imagine making a quilt of this block. I don't know what I'll do where we get to South Carolina. Scream, I guess.

Katie, I don't see any burps in yours. Very pretty. Whitepine, yes that does look like fall or even native american. And yes the block was a pain but they are turning out very nice. I was born in Ferndale MI but parents moved me to OR when I was ten.

White pice, I love those colors, it does look Native American... which is my decor.

i really liked making my Michigan star...thinking about it was a bit intimidating---but once i sat down to do it it really went smoothly. after i finished it i went ahead & made one of my (6) alternative blocks---this one is Alabama/Delaware...i really like that one too.
and as usual...WOW! they are all looking so great! Pokerdiva---I LOVE YOUR BACKGROUND! your block is STUNNING! i love them all---just like every week
