Nice blocks everyone.... I don't have my book yet... Should be here this week.... Looks like I'm behind before I even start. LOL I've never done this but I got one of Carol Doak's DVD's and I loved it so I'll be jumping in with both feet. Hope I don't drown because I've read that some are very hard.

Whitepine... too funny... I have the same problem with my kitty... I can't take a picture of any quilt I do without him getting in the middle of it. He is my "Official Quilt Inspector" .

Janet. Not to worry. None are really any harder than another. Some just have more pieces. I have confidence that you can do them. Cn't wait to see your first block.

Hmmm ... I wonder how many of us (me included) couldn't wait to get started and have had their block ready and waiting, for days and days. LOL

I'm all ready to start but now I can't decide what size to make them. 12", 10", or 8"…

Sure, the more the merrier. We are making these for ourselves, not a swap, so you can do any you want to. We are just starting at the beginning and started with Alabama.

These blocks woudl be VERY difficult in 8" and almost as hard in 10", with all the tiny pieces.

You're right. I printed out all three sizes. I am also doing DearJane and decided I can't bear to work with such small pieces if I did this as eight inches. I decided to put them together on point. If I've measured right… 12" squares will make it a nice queen size. They just seem so big on diagonal.
