I've been a lurker on that thread, toying w/ the idea, really like the boom swap we are currently doing, but not sure about doing specific blocks that don't ness. intrigue or inspire me.

I had a great time doing this mystery. I try not to do comparisons, but there were so many beautiful and creative quilts produced that I am a little embarrassed about mine. This may just be the one that Judy doesn't like.

Judy: Your designs are usually on a different scale then I usually use. This time I realized making a larger scale makes the result much more modern, an idea to play around with.

Wow Emma, that is lovely...and huge! You must have a bucket of scraps

On a side note, I thought I was going to have a melt down...my starch spray bottle almost gave up the ghost...I can't live without my starch! With some tender loving coaxing and lots of hot water and then some not so tender wording, it decided to spritz some more. Saved!

LOL Thank you everyone for the kind words. There is a story behind how large it turned out. I got to the clue that gave me the 12.5 inch measurement, then my mind just shut off. When your sashing is 2" and the outside to complete the stars and border so the binding doesn't cut off the stars is a total of 8" your quilt grows by leaps an bounds. Well the twin size I intended is a thing of the past. It measures 106 X 96. Whoops!

The worst of it is, there was no noticeable dent put in my scraps.
