Emma I think it turned out amazing! I love it larger and I understand about not putting a dent in the scraps have completed 4 of BH scrappies and still have scraps to last a lifetime. Does not even begin to take account for my stash of yardage

Emma I love your beautiful quilt!!! I'm still piecing, but mine will be 5X6 blocks. Scraps? Well I've sewed almost only scraps for 3 years, and my shelves are still full of scraps. I think they multiple during the night when I'm not looking. I love it--scrappy is my favorite.

Emma, love the sashing and the stars. You must have been very busy this past week working on it.
DId you quilt it yet. it is large. mine will have 24 or 25 blocks. depending on how it's done. I don't
know yet. Don't doubt yourself, it came out beautifully.

I don't know what "this" way is, but yes you can qayg w/o sashing. Cut the back side 1/2 to 3/4 inch larger then the front on all sides, do not quilt all the way to the edge, put right sides (front sides) together sew your seam allowance, (only sewing the front layer, no batting or backing) then open lay flat, fold trim and press seams together along back side and stitch together either by hand w/ a binding type stitch or any machine stitch you like (if you don't mind it showing on the front side)

Emma, I just love your quilt. What's not to like. I like the sashing and stars. Great job and Very pretty!!!!

    Love your quilt, Emma!
Just finished putting the border on mine. Last night I tried to figure out how to do a mitered piece but totally messed that up. Decided to go with a 4 patch. Easy peasy! Wish I had made my quilt a little bigger because I love it so much. (Maybe not as big as Emma's!)
Thank you, Judy, for another amazing ride!!

I am hoping to get a top quilted before the next train leaves the station. That will be difficult since I babysit 4 days this week and next plus my DD gets home tuesday night after 1 1/2 years in France. I will need to pamper her a bit and make her favorite meals while she is here. On the other hand, maybe I can get her to babysit while I sew. hmmm.....
